Frankie and the bunnys are OOAK {One of a kind}
My Inspiration came from my paint mare and she is very flattered,she has bragged to the chickens and the donkey in the next pasture who has a crush on her..silly girl...Each creation is sculpted with puppen fimo a polymer clay that I prefer because of the strength, Frankie has a armature throughout.
I had to pull out the magnifying goggles on these three. Each one is handpainted til they giggled..they say the paint brush tickles. The base is sculpted as well and handpainted. It was tricky taking pictures of these 3,they kept scurrying off, there curiousity was getting the best of them...I Had a moment of panic with Frankie :s, HONEY WHO SHRUNK THE HORSES!!!!and BUNNIES!!!....The base is handpainted in beautiful colors of spring and a touch of fairy dust.
You will receive a signed Certificate of Authenticity by the artist.My signature of 2 tiny horseshoes is on the base also.
My sculptures are not meant for children without supervision.

The exact Location is a Secret ssshhhhh come with me >follow the path around the barn..you'll come to a creek...follow the stepping stones..past the twin oaks and you'll come across a beautiful pink Dogwood,now you'll have to get down on your knees at this point,~~~~we'll crawl through that opening in the english ivy ,when you do~~~ you'll see a spring bubbling & splashing out of the tall grasses, to the right at the base of the Dogwood tree...now be very very careful not to be noticed...if you very quietly part the tall blades of grass,you will see a wee tiny castle and beautiful lush green gardens that surround the village...Be very careful the Mayor of HorseFeathers Kingdom has excellent vision..oh see!? there he is !!,the plump lil chipmunk with the tall black top hat and black coat with tails..very official looking isn't he? "Mayor Lord Cornelious"he is the official greeter to all that visit HorseFeather's Kingdom.
This is The season Festival of The Iddy Biddys as they start hatching out like baby chicks but rather than peep they NICKER!!!Sweet lil tiny Nickers everywhere.

Introduces GallopinGiggles
It all started one sunny morning,the dew was still on the flowers and all the residents of HorseFeather's Kingdom were busy doing their normal morning chores or relaxing eating bagels and jelly...it was so very peaceful...King NaBumpkin was enjoying a apple turnunder on his balcony,very yummy...when out of no where the sounds of giggles came high up in the tops of the beautiful blue spruces.One by one they filled the valley,it was so contagious that King NaBumpkin started giggling,before to long ,his Queen couldn't help but giggle from the engaging sounds from the tops of the trees.In between giggles the King motioned to his gardener,who was also bent over giggling,The King said .."Albert go investigate those trees".. ,and the King broke out into giggles again..The gardener made his way through the forrest and found the tallest blue spruce he had ever seen...slowly inbetween giggles he made his way up to the very top..the breeze was gentle but he still could feel the limb sway back and forth...that really made him giggle...in amongst the limbs he spied a beautiful nest,very well made indeed...and in the nest were the most adorable babies,they looked like young foals,not IiddyBiddy's or SillyFilly's they were much to small.
He couldn't stop giggling the more he giggled the more the baby's would wiggle and giggle.
He gathered one up in his arms and she was so warm and soft and cuddly.
A crowd had gathered at the bottom of the grand spruce,everyone giggling and holding their tummys from the giggles..."bring her down!" yelled one of the village bakers,"they must be hungry"...gradually the gardener descended down towards the bottom with his shirt bulging out,filled with the delightful mysterious creatures...everyone greeted them and hugged and held them.
When they felt such happiness in holding and cuddling washed over them,what a wonderful feeling.
The King named them the GallopinGiggles and had special cradles made up for each one...the gardener could have swore he only gathered 3,but looking into the crowd of giggling faces he counted 20 sweet faces of GallopinGiggles.....scratching his head,he placed each sweet Giggle in his crib of sweet hay,they fell to sleep very easily.
He placed name tags as all the villagers helped give each one a name...The gardener name the first one he held RaspBerry,she looked up and gave him a nicker and smile and fell fast to sleep,Then the baker placed the 2nd lil GallopinGiggles in his cradle and named him BoogieBlu for his blue mane and tail and cute freakles.Then the local shopkeeper placed her little bundle in the crib of straw and decided she was the color of Ginger and Rose and thus named her GingerRose.Then King's Royal pie maker held in her arms her bundle ,a unicorn GallopinGiggle and she gave her a beautiful name Zetta and tucked inside Zetta's blanket was her very special friend Taffy,they looked after eachother and the pie maker gently laid her bundle in the soft straw crib after a soft kiss on Zetta's velvety nose....Around the corner the dressmaker made her way towards the row of GallopinGiggle's cribs,she was dressed in a elegant yellow dress and topped off apon her beautiful red hair a bonnet that she wore with pride,Flowers trimmed the brim and the bonnet seem to take on a life of it's own,as it started wiggling and jumping about..the dressmaker tried hard to keep it from falling off her head...when to everyone's surprise a cute pink nose peeked out...The dressmaker said"I have another bundle for you" as she giggled trying to arrange her bonnet,she turned it upside down and Lizzy gave a sweet nicker..Elliot held on tight,as they placed the bonnet in the awaiting crib.Everyone giggled at the sweet pair...everyone seemed to drift off to sleep peacefully,but soon a happy sound came drifting in from the cobblestone path leading from the woods,a jolly roundface fellow with a bright red flannel shirt holding a bundle in one arm and a axe in the other..quite intimidating had it not been for the happy song he was singing as he trod along towards the door of the nursery.Up popped Meg's head as she looked at the rows of straw filled cribs..the woodcutter placed Meg in a crib to his liking..patted Meg's smiling head,she was so excited to see all her brothers and sisters..I do believe the GallopinGiggles found a welcomed home among all the happy residents of HorseFeather's Kingdom...all the giggling had put a huge smile on everyones face....it was indeed a very interesting day for all.Who couldn't use a giggle these days,right?
Guess What?? Yep another GallopinGiggles has come to join us...And her name is Elsie.
While the gardener was gathering as many GallopinGiggles as he could manage..Elsie climbed up a limb looking back and giggling she is very adventurous and full of spunk. She climbs to the very top of the big blue spruce and started to sway back and forth and the farther she swayed almost to King NanBumpkin's Balcony..and she just giggled all the more. King NanBumpkin caught sight of this tiny bundle of white with gold wings and blue freakles and giggling and pointing he shouted for Albert the Royal Gardner "ALBERRRTTT!"yelled the King.
Elsie waved to the King playfully and swung to the other side weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! and Albert caught sight of the tiny little filly...Albert was working in the garden and was holding a big basket. Albert started running frantically back and forth.. to catch Elsie and then he joined Elsie in her giggles...all of a sudden as the top of the blue spruce swung back towards the gardner she leap and her wings fluttered and she drifted right into Albert's basket...she hugged Albert and they both giggled,also with relief that Elsie was safe.

Morte is a Woodland Fairy Sprite. Talun is his little baby dragon he adopted, Talun lost his mother unfortunately.Morte' is trying very hard to taking care for Talun.It is his responcibility to take the place as his caretaker as to all the creatures and the woodlands.
Morte' is signing with his right hand " I love you"..That is really what life is all about Don't you think?
Morte' has a favorite place The swinging bridge and he is teaching Talun how too fly...he's doing very well...Talun's favorite thing to do is to glide low to the blue green water under the bridge and he see's his reflection in the water as clear as a mirror's reflection.
Morte' is a One of a kind as is Talun, each began as a idea in my head and start out as armatures and then handsculpted with puppen fimo my preference of polymer clays.As I apply the clay I just discover new things and let the clay decide.....
Each are handpainted with several different mediums very detailed down to the scales on Talun and Morte' wings,{the wings are not real butterfly wings} which are painted & decorated with many types of dried flowers,fairy dust,various colors of faux moss, and then sealed.
Morte' has dark soulful black eyes with a glint of gold specks and a glint of his playful self as he sticks out his tongue..Talun's eyes twinkle blue.
,also he has two tiny gold horns right above each ear and on his bridge of snout another gold horn,he's very detailed for his 1 1/8 inch in length under 1 inch tall
Talun sits happily perched on Morte's left hand. Morte' always has fascinating stories to tell.
The complete sculpture is affixed too a beautiful wood Red Cedar base, I cut all my own bases and sand and seal them twice.
Morte' is just 4 1/4 inches tall with Red Cedar base.
I really enjoy creating dragons,this is a different piece for me,but I sometimes just let the clay lead me..the polymer base has my horse shoes trademark and circle C copyright.
Like Talun I'll be spreading my wings with my sculptured creations.
With Morte'& Talun a Certificate of Authenticity comes with.
All of my creations are True OOAKs { one of a kind } no molds are used in any part of the process, and when you receive one of my Sculptures you can see all the tiny details just not visible with camera at this tiny size.

I pictured that at night Parents can read the stories that go with my sculptures with their children, maybe bringing the Sculpture in and setting it on the night stand while sharing the story. Beautiful memories of the summer of 2009

This is a horse I'm working on,heading towards the Renaissance period of jousting with knights apon their backs,but I want to put armor on him and just showcase the beautiful jousting horses adorned with elaborate carefully tooled armor.The Jousting horse was a very powerful horse,big,tall and very strong.

new for me,not the subject of horses but the detail of armor and finding the right materials.

I'm taking my time with this one,I start with a armature and lay clay on..one piece at a time..it's a priority that it is very strong..and I put alot of research in the details of the armor with the period of the time,it's important to me to be factual.

I use no molds and do not use the Breyer collectible horses to customize,this sculpture and all my works are completely of my mind and true OOAK..One of a Kind.

Hello ,yes I am still working on this piece..I don't think many people realize how much time artists put into there sculptures...I am one that will ponder alot on the details and then BONG! It comes to me what I want to do with details or such,I do not rush through a project...it comes from my heart and alot of thought is put into each one...

My Heart Tugs

St. Francis has always been my favorite saint,it seems all my life I have nursed orphaned animal babes..I was brought 3 lil boy bunnys yesterday..there doing fine so far,lord willing...they had been dragged from there nest by a dog on a construction site and the mother was no where to be found,she would never return to a nest that had been ravaged...I have 3 generations of rabbits I've bottle fed on my farm,they are the biggest of rabbits I've ever seen lol they are easy to spot..they always visit my garden,they've never left the area...I guess how appropriate right before Easter that he blessed me with another Heart tug duty...that's what I call them...they are so precious..I wanted to share them with you.I've had such low feelings of recently they are a message to me that God takes care of all his creatures Great or small and that I can lean on him in my times of despair....and he shows me the faith he has in me when I have lost it....Happy Easter to all of you.....love/Sheri

" Gothic Black Beauty"

This is Dark Soul,I'm not completely sold on her name,just trying it out..I wanted to portray her as elegant and regal,Pegasus's are generally white,I wanted to try the black with stipling throughout her and with the wings,she is beautiful I've not yet added her mane and tail which will be black tibeton lamb's wool.Still a work in progress.

Introduces
Whinney & Fernando
along with Wanda the Magical Wand

Whinney grew up knowing that she always wanted to be a fairy Godmother.She thought that granting wishes and saving Prince Charming from a life of Lillypads and dining on flies,was what she was born to do.
Well after attending GreenHollow FairyGodmother academy,she was ever so happy too finally earned her magical wand.
She search the hills and ponds for any and all potential clients that might need her services.
Towards the end of day as the sun was setting,she heard this sorrowful croaking,it was such a sad sound...
Ribbbitrumbumpkin! Ribbbitrumpkinda..over and over she heard
this strange sound.
In a clearing,she spotted a small brook that lead into a pond and on the biggest Lillypad she spotted where the sad sounds were coming from.
She gleefully swoop down towards the sound,her wings fluttering like the sounds of hummingbird wings.
Fernando looked up to see this tiny,what appeared to be a horse with wings,he rubbed his eyes then rubbed them again and he heard the joyfull Nickerssss coming from this little horse,she announced proudly..
"I'm your FairyGodmother"!!!with such delightful enthusiasm.
Fernando bowed as any Prince Charming would and introduced hisself and offered her a seat next to him on his lilypad.
"I have come to set you free from the evil spell that has been cast apon you"Whinney responded....
Fernando at last broke out in a jublient Ribbit leaping from lily pad to lilpad....
Whinney said...I will soon have you back as your Charming Prince self...all of a sudden,Fernando became still with a bewildered look on his face,"but FairyGodmother that is not my wish...I love being a frog"he replied..
Whinney turns to her magical wand Wanda and whispered "what shall we do now? Wanda replied "a wish is a wish my dear Whinney,you must grant whatever he chooses...
Whinney replied happily what is it that you wish Fernando?
Fernando replied I wish to build a castle fit for a Prince Frog and to ask for the hand of my someone special to live out our lives happily ever after.
And whom might that be Fernando?
from the other side of the pond Whinney heard a sweet demur ribbit
and out leaped a very pretty green Princess Frog and beside Fernando she landed cuddling up close to her Prince Charming.
Whinney searched her FairyGodmother handbook frantically,Wanda nudged her gently and softly whispered "somtimes you have to throw the book away my dear or add a new chapter of Happily ever afters."
Whinney will always remember her first duty as a Fairy GodMother which made her all the more wiser (wink)

each handsculpted by the artist, painted by hand down to the
tiniest detail.Whinney wears a crown of Swarski crystals and dried flowers.
She has a beautiful flouncy lace dress and real butterfly wings (no insect was harmed in the creation)
Whinney flys above Fernando from a dowel inserted in Fernando.
They would make a cute humorous wedding or bridal shower topper or gift. They are comical and adorable in person that the camera doesn't always capture.
Fernando will have a crown&cape,I'll have more pictures to put up then.

May day Celebration

I remember as a little girl,we use to create these little cone shape baskets from colorful pretty papers and ribbons and fill them with flowers and candies and then we would quietly sneak up too our nieghbors front doors and hang them on the door knob and quickly ring the doorbell and run like rabbits,I use to love that day..it was such fun watching behind the shrubbery..to see the smiles as they discovered their May Day basket...such sweet times.

Anyone still celebrate MayDay?

on a sadder note ,those phone calls we all dread..I recieved one ..I didn't even have to know,

I already knew..my brother passed away in his sleep,it's still hard to talk about or type through the tears...he was 2 years younger but we were often mistaken for twins,my only brother,I'm the oldest of 3 siblings.My brother never married or had children,kids loved him and vice a versa,my sons were crazy about their zany Uncle.He stood 6'3" broad shoulders and a big heart.He was a gifted carpenter and at the time was building a church just down the road from where he lived.He was the type that would build projects or mend old porch steps for friends of friends or family and walk away without charging a penny.Good guy he was.

The one thing I was certain of is that my brother knew I loved him and I knew he loved me,how many things nowadays can you be so certain of?

It gave me great comfort knowing that in my heart.

Princess ShaeLynn'& Dragon Chanath

Princess ShaeLynn' lives with her parents, King and Queen NaBumpkin
of Green Hollow Hills.
The King NaBumpkin knew right off his daughter was very special..one day Princess ShaeLynn came running up through the apple orchard clutching a huge emerald oval shape.She ran for the Royal hen house and slipped inside and found her favorite red hen Lady Nettie..she asked Nettie I have a very important favor too ask Nettie, and out from under her jacket..she pulled out the most beautiful emerald colored egg with flecks of gold.Please Nettie you must help me,I was walking along my secret path near the oberland clifts..Father does not allow me to go there,but it's so beautiful and the trees have the best pears...I was picking some pears and down from the clifts,it fell..rolling right up to my feet...Nettie opened up her wings and scratched a safe place for this mysterious round object her mistress rescued.Don't worry my dear mistress ShaeLynn ,it will be safe here.
Everyday ShaeLynn checked her new found treasure and Nettie said it won't be long now mistress,come back when the moon raises on the 2nd day from today and it will be revealed to you.
So very anxious ShaeLynn was,she could hardly wait for the moon that evening,waiting with one hand propped against her rosey cheek peering out over the ledge of her balcony.The moon rising up in the dark blue sky,scrambling into her clothes,with boots in her hands you could hear the pattering of her bare feet..making their way through the spiral stone staircase of the castle,excitedly making her way through the gardens too the Royal hen house.There she found Nettie sitting,motioning for her to come over.There in the nest was a brand new baby dragon,she peeked out to see Princess ShaeLynn and instantly
a bright yellow gold halo embrasses them both and at that moment a bond forms.Princess ShaeLynn announces I shall call you...Chanath and with this the little creature jumped into her arms and snuggled deep into her arms. Princess ShaeLynn and Nettie giggled at the cooing sounds coming from the little creature.The months went by and the bond between them stronger .Chanath grew in leaps and bounds..Chanath would fly up to the balcony where Princess ShaeLynn awaited for her beautiful Dragon Chanath and she would climb up onto her back between her wings and off they would go into the night sky,.. with the moon shining gloriusly,the two of them exploring the world together...and that is the begining of Princess ShaeLynn and Dragon Chanath.

This is my favorite time of the year..I still believe in Santa ,he brought me Christmas puppies early..yes he did...Annabelle my lil chi wau wau had 4..2 girls and 2 boys,they are adorable...pitter patter pitter patter of chi chi paws...I love the smell of puppy breath....like human babies and baby powder..brand new I'm here and alive smell...watch out world..lol...
I wish everyone the happiest of holidays with loved ones and may all your wishes come true and a Happy New Year!!

Oh my Goodness, at last SPRING!!! 2011

I want to introduce my newest addition SAHARA I call him Harry for short.

I'm getting lots done this spring and ready for the next turn to the chapter corner to my life..ahhhhhhh it feels GREAT!

Don't you just love a nice round butt on a horse,or a Cowgirl would understand that statement LOL! He is a registered AQHA a beautiful golden sorrel, purchased him from the Johnny Cox Horse Farms...I must say he has the most beautiful horses and colts...actually I had no intentions of purchasing a horse. I was looking at the 6 month old colts,beautiful colors and Buckskin oh my goodness..like a kid in a candy store...Sahara picked me actually..everytime I turned there he was head on my shoulder nudging me ...... I was smittened...and he gave me the ride of a life..excellent... a love story as with all my horses..they came to me each with different stories.

They own me..lol...and it's been a life long love affair with these wonderful creatures.

They have contributed much to my life.

I wish you all a wonderful Spring...time to tend those gardens ,especially with the cost of produce PPPPHHHHEEEWWWWWWW! Talk about high prices..

My Heart and prayers goes out too the People of Japan, What strong people they are.

We need to take better care of our dear planet for our future generations.

The last year proved that even more so with the BPA oil accident.

We need to pay more attention to our Wildlife and contribute in some way..everyone can do there part ..from recycling to living GREEN as much as possible.

LOVE LOVE The Mother Earth and love eachother.

This is such a exciting time in my life...why???you might ask.. becauseeee of so many things,my art for one..I'm pushing myself to go to places I've just thought about...I'm demanding more from myself..I know I can do better ,there fore put up or shut up..kind of attitude...The Ebay experience is proving very different..different is good.I refuse to get lost in it...I have 3 sculptures I'm about to release on auction,I'm really excited about them.I've really put alot of heart and energy into them..I almost hate it when it comes to a end.I'm so grateful for the gift of art in my life..frankly I can't imagine a life without waking up with new ideas..I wonder if it ever ends?gawd I hope not...my passions are what enable me too put one foot in front of another

whether it's a good day or bad..yes we all have them..This Thanksgiving I will have alot to be grateful for..a time too reflect on the past year.

The Holidays are close, building a 4 stall Horse Barn w/tack room and storage/work room,I'm thrilled about that...this year I can have the tallest Christmas Tree with all the trimings because of the new addition also.

I have almost all my Christmas shopping done(grin)totally unlike me..lol

My side of the Mountain

The Beautiful Ozarks,that's where my inspirations come from.For my country paintings,I just look out my window or when I'm out riding my horses with my collie Dukester following behind.I'm always stopping to pick up a piece of driftwood or somthing that catches my eyes. I never for a moment take for granted all the beauty of the woodlands that surround my home.
I am a selftaught artist,I feel it's a gift handed down from my Father and Grandfather,long ago before the days of computer graphics art,my Grandfather would create the local grocery store window ads art,that was in the 50's,his real love of art showed in his wood working.My Father was a very talented portrait&wildlife artist and Inventor,when ever I'm working on one of my projects..I can feel them both hoovering over my shoulders,probaly discussing all the new fangled gadjits we have today...oh what I would give to hear that conversation. I have worked with polymer clays since 1988.I started out in juried Art and Craft Shows locally,

we have quite a few big shows throughout the seasons.I was at the time the only polymer clay artists in the shows at that time in the surrounding area,it was relatively new then,I created my own line of jewelry and delveloped a line of Humorous Sculpture characters,I called HorseFeather's Creations..,subjects were old broken down Cowboys and Cowgirls too big buxom Saloonhouse Floozies and funny looking horses.HorseFeathers has been my signature logo and covered my art.

I'm fortunate to have a beautiful little farmhouse in the hills of the Ozarks with my family of 3 horses-/P.J./Frankie & Donner/>-2 blue heelers Jacob and Jesse-1 mini Dachsund with a attitude-2 chi wau waus that are spoiled rotten-1 Collie we call the Dukester.My critters give me lots of inspiration for my sculptures.My art background consists of Acrylics to Watercolors,oils,pastels.I'm a Published Cartoonist and editorial&political cartoons in the local newspapers.I've done Western themed and Native American Art.I hope you enjoy going through my blog,I post when I'm able and would enjoy hearing any comments. here's somthing I would like to share that just about says it all for me.

I would like to share this with you...alot of my subjects are Horses and this really struck home. Just a Horse? From time to time, people tell me, "lighten up, it's just a horse," or "that's a lot of money for just a horse". They don't understand the distance traveled, the time spent, or the costs involved for "just a horse." Some of my proudest moments have come about with "just a horse." Many hours have passed and my only company was "just a horse," but I did not once feel slighted. Some of my saddest moments have been brought about by "just a horse," and in those days of darkness, the gentle touch of "just a horse" gave me comfort and reason to overcome the day. If you, too, think it's "just a horse," then you will probably not understand phrases like "just a friend," "just a sunrise," or "just a promise." "Just a horse" brings into my life the very essence of friendship, trust, and pure unbridled joy. "Just a horse" brings out the compassion and patience that make me a better person. Because of "just a horse" I will rise early, take long walks and look longingly to the future. So for me and folks like me, it's not "just a horse" but an embodiment of all the hopes and dreams of the future, the fond memories of the past, and the pure joy of the moment. "Just a horse" brings out what's good in me and diverts my thoughts away from myself and the worries of the day. I hope that someday they can understand that it's not "just a horse" but the thing that gives me humanity and keeps me from being "just a woman or just a man."
